The driving method is used to set up the column for the installation of the column. The column set by driving method should be strictly in accordance with the position determined by steel brazing. First, self-made guide device should be installed, and then the column should be driven along the guide hole to ensure the vertical angle. The column shall be driven into the soil to the design depth. If the depth of the column is too deep, the part of the column shall not be pulled out for correction. All the columns must be pulled out, and then re driven after the foundation is compacted. The installation of column shall be in accordance with the drawings. And coordinate with road route.

 

If the column is difficult to drive, the drilling method or excavation method can be used to install the column. When the column is installed by drilling method, the column shall be backfilled with the same material as the Subgrade after positioning, and compacted in layers to make it have the compactness of the adjacent meta soil. When excavation method is adopted, the backfill material shall be compacted by layers of good and same materials when the column is buried, and the thickness of each layer shall not exceed 15cm. The compaction degree of backfill shall not be less than that of the adjacent original soil. The pile columns in the rock shall be backfilled and compacted with granular materials. It is worth noting that if we encounter a turning point in installation, if the bending is large, we will use 2320mm adjusting plate to transition, and if the bending is small, we must use the corrugated guardrail plate with bending. This should be communicated with the manufacturer in advance.

 

Considering the impact of guardrail structure on landscape and driver's sight guidance, verticality, position and elevation inspection shall be conducted immediately after the column is installed in place. The verticality inspection shall be measured by a ruler by ruler, and the position inspection and spacing inspection straight line shall be measured by steel ruler. The curve section shall be measured by theodolite with deflection angle; the horizontal position inspection shall be conducted by ruler to measure the transverse distance between the road center line and the column. The elevation inspection is based on the roadside inside the curb, and the self-made mold or level instrument shall be used for measurement and inspection one by one. The horizontal direction and vertical party items should form a smooth line. The installation of the transition section and end column is the construction part which needs to be paid attention to, and the position, height and parabola line should be strictly controlled during the construction. It should also be noted that no matter how to install the wave beam guardrail in any way, the Contractor shall try to avoid damage to the pavement and buried pipeline facilities. If damage is caused, the Contractor shall be responsible for repairing it. The cost shall be borne by the contractor.

 

After installation, it is necessary to pay attention to that the column shall not have obvious torsion, welding extension and the burr at the end must be clear. The setting out of column shall be based on the control points on the highway, and the spacing of columns shall be adjusted appropriately according to the distance measurement. The installation of columns shall be in accordance with the drawings and coordinated with the route. The column must be firmly embedded in the soil, and the buried depth must meet the design requirements and be vertical to the ground.
